Can you smell the rain or snow coming on the breeze?  I know I can, and one time I mentioned it in passing when exiting a building at Clemson and my buddies looked at me like I was a freak.  Maybe it’s just something you pick up when you have lived in the midwest because those are the only other people I know that have that “sense”.  And yes, rain did come that afternoon.  But going back to “smells”, the smell of an approaching snow on a nice northern winter day is refreshing.  I do not know why I am so infatuated with smells recently.
