There is joke that goes “I went to a boxing match and a hockey game broke out”. Well after this past weekend I guess that could go for basketball and Clemson/Carolina football as well. Due to the brawl in Death Valley, Clemson and Carolina are both stating that they will decline all offers to bowls this post season. I agree with Nobrainer in one of his recent posts in that this may not have the best outcome as yes, it does punish the students that were in the melee but it also does not allow the ones who retained themselves to play possibly their final bowl game nor does it allow the universities to obtain the funds from the bowl that are so desperately needed for recruiting and the west endzone project (although the IPTAY people continuously claimed this season that we could easily pay off Tommy’s multi million dollar contract if he had a horrible season this year). Oh well, at least I won’t have to agonize over a Clemson loss over the holidays this year. And now on to Clemson Basketball where I hear we beat the crap out of a high school team this past weekend!
