Fun stuff over here kids

As you can see I added a fun facts section to the header. It should change daily, so there’s more incentive to check the blog out!

Also I would like to take this moment to list odd holiday traditions that I have to have for Christmas to be Christmas:
1. Cold Weather (and I live in the south where yesterday it was 70 comthin degrees!!)
2. Guthy Renker Claymation movies
3. White Christmas the movie
4. At least one renditon of “A Christmas Carol” (Scrooged or muppets preferred)
5. The Grinch with Jim Carey
5. Family
6. Did I say cold weather
7. Sugar Cookies

the list goes on, one odd one is a movie called “The night they saved Christmas” it’s about an oil company that is digging for oil in the North Pole and plans to blow up the North Pole but the family of the foreman are introduced to Santa who asks them to convince the father that there is oil elsewhere. Odd old movie starring one of the Charlies Angels. Lauren finds my affliction with Guthy Renker amusing and knows if I land on one while flipping through the channels that she might as well leave the room because I will watch it till the end. What are some of your Christmas validation needs?

    1. At least 3-5 days of cool weather, preferably ON Christmas Eve/Day
    2. Viewing of the following movies, usually just before and right after Christmas Day: The Ref, Scrooged, A Christmas Story, National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation
    3. 1964 Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer claymation movie
    4. Candy canes and fudge
    5. Animated The Grinch
    6. Drive around at night looking at twinkly Christmas lights
    7. Laughter and reminiscing at a family gathering
    8. Crackly fire in the fireplace

  2. Nobrainer Says:

I could do without the cold, but snow is always nice.

    1. Shopping on Christmas Eve. Whether I buy presents for everyone in time doesn’t matter, because my mom will send me out to buy more things for my dad.
    2. The “Christmas Story” marathons on TNT and watching it at least 3 times in a row.
    3. “Christmas Vacation”… and it has to include Chevy’s rant about his boss.
    4. Setting up the ol’ model train sets.

  3. Lawtonfunk Says:

    1. Christmas Vacation, quite possibly the funniest Christmas movie of all time.
    2. A Christmas Story-the funniest Christmas movie of all time.
    3. Rudolph (the claymation one)
    4. “A long kiss Goodnight.” Not your typical Christmas movie, but still one I own that I always watch every season. Favorite line this year: (paraphrased)
Charlie Baltimore: Don’t you bite virgins on the ear while deflowering them to distract them from the pain?
Sam Jackson’s Character: Nah, I just sock ‘em in the jack and yell ‘Pop goes the weezle.’

    5. Christmas Eve Service. (I usually get depressed during the service. I look around my church and see how all my old friends aren’t in church this Christmas, again. Then I remember the last time I saw them they had lost faith.)
    6. Peanut Butter fudge. Mmmm.
    7. Riding around looking a Christmas lights.
    8. Going to a movie on Christmas day with the family. It’s surprisingly not crowded for some reason. You may notice a common movie theme.

Christmas movies are the best ones ever. Ever seen “Santa Claus Saves Christmas from the Martians”?

    …Me neither.

This year my neighborhood is kicking ass on the Christmas lights. Since it’s going to be very cold (for FL) I’m going to drive around and look at the lights. And the light won’t be coming from under my car. Wheee.

  5. Agent Orange Says:

And Anonymous and her explosive car is unveiled!

  6. Anonymous Says:

Oh come on! Like you didn’t know it was me.

Besides, I end up hitting “Return” before I can sign my name/initials. But to make sure that this time I don’t….

    HAYES

    There. :P

  7. Wha Says:

    1. Rudolph Claymation version

    4. Putting up a tree…I even have my own old as crap one I inheireted (sp?) last year from grandparents, but its a tree.
    5. Cold Weather - Chance for snow in TN, they are getting some now. We have been in the 20’s heer the last three nights.
    6. Family-especially playing video games until the wee hours with Dad and Jeremy (brother)

  8. Nobrainer Says:

Speaking of sausage balls, for as much as I hate Alec Baldwin’s politics, his appearance on the SNL ‘NPR’ skit about schwetty balls was absolutely one of the best SNL skits ever.

  9. Lawtonfunk Says:

The notion of Todd having family is strange, but a brother? Wow. Just-Wow. Big Brother or little? What’s the age difference? Is he uh . . . like Todd?

  10. Wha Says:

Yeah, he is going to be 10 in August. Shrink me, twang the accent, add a little athletisism on top of my sophomore year capabilitites and you got him
