Torrent/FTP Server

Ok as I have a boneyard of hard drives and such in my home I am thinking of creating a server for friends to use. I am currently reading up on FTP servers but would like to use the torrent format as that seems to be much faster if everyone cooperates and seeds. Let me know what you think. Of course it would be invite only/password protected, but I think it would be fun to have around for random files we might want to get out to people. Like I said, let me know what you think and if you have any information on how to set up a server.

    I don’t know if the torrent thing helps much if you’re doing a direct connection to a single source.

    But I have been wrong before.

    So we will be able to computer nerd against each other in games..like we are ever on teh same schedule sans JDGA weekends that take three months to plan
