Funk x 2

I was told that after your own wedding you enjoy others much more. This was made clear when Funk married his doctor to be sugar mama Mrs. Funk. I had a great time the whole weekend and didn’t even mind being in a tux. I do regret not making a toast as he and I have basically been through it all in college, but his families toasts definitely had people rolling. The weekend started with the rehearsal and dinner which was very nice: beer and wine along with a nice selection of finger foods and main dishes complimented the laughter all around. The next day involved hitting a few golf balls at the driving range and then heading out to a sweet bbq spot where everyone proceeded to sprain their stomachs on the gorging that occurred. I am still not quite sure how people were still walking afterwards. We then watched the only good Clemson baseball game where we beat Baylor and then headed to the church for photos and such. The ceremony was nice and quick with Mrs. Funk being the literal bouncing bride, she couldn’t stop bobbing and smiling the whole time which was fun to watch. Afterwards she accused me of making her laugh when she looked over her grooms shoulder and saw me chuckling at the two of them. The reception was fun as I got to catch up with everyone that had attended my wedding and I did not get to talk to. Overall it was a fun but fast weekend, I look forward to the return of the Funk(s) so we can share newlywed stories and stupid stuff like that. From starting a band in college to renovating our new homes……good Lord that’s just a pitiful transition and that’s what our lives have become. We have been through a lot and I appreciated him including me in his wedding!
