Weekend Review (Slightly intoxicated)

So Thursday I got to head out early for an early morning meeting on Friday aboutthe future of maintenance on my side of the plant. I look forward to implementing what the meeting brought about as they should improve the maintenance mentality within the next year if we go through with it. After Friday’s meeting I made enchiladas for dinner and my WIFE and I got to enjoy a meal together. On Saturday Lauren had to go to a bridal shower for a friend and I decided to go to Charleston and pick up some of the straggling remains that Lauren left nehind in Chucktown. After returning I was dedicated to complete the thank you notes that remained on the list as this is the last weekend that I have free for a while. Saturday night Lauren and I decided that we would go see Batman Begins (which a coworker stated is better than Star Wars III). I was thoroughly impressed by this film both in story and in environment. When we bought our tickets we got a nice little playbook for batman that had interviews and little tidbits in it about the movie. I liked the whole idea and encourage it for future movies. When we were in the previews I got a flashback to high school in listening to the guys behind us who were obviously in HS. They were talking about their current characters in a guild in an RPG game. Although I could not determine what game they were playing I knew that their conversation was verbatim for what my buddy Doug and Andy(2) sounded like in HS. It is sorry but it was a fun flashback. Batman begins was one hell of a movie. It was fun forming the future of batman together and what is to come. the best part of the movie was the move from a fast sleek batmobile to a kick ass drive through anything batmobile. It was a change from the past mobiles but it fit the purpose. I think that these guys are on the right path to get the trilogy back on path. The low key central actors will aid in developing the movies. The overall cast was a great cast though with Katie Holmes, Michael Cain, and Morgan Freeman. Anyways, on Sunday we were invited to our neighbors house for a dinner party and it turned out better than we expected. Our neighbor is a former restaraunt manager and a wine manager so you can guess what this party was about. Basically we ate like kings and got smashed. It was a ton of fun and we met some new people. We look forward to doing that again! That is all as I am still feeling the affects of the port “tasting” we were part of. OUT!!

I went to see Batman Begins this past weekend. It was pretty good, better than I expected. Although, I still say no one could ever take Michael Keaton’s place as Batman. ai think he fit the role better than this guy, Christian something or other. Anyway, good movie.

You mean to tell me that Val Kilmer was not your favorite batman??? that’s a joke, Keaton was the best. I have not seen the new Batman yet, but I did buy a kick ass Batman shirt at Walmart… Speaking of movies… GO see Cinderella Man… Movie of the year… I won’t spoil it, but give it a shot, even if you don’t like boxing.

  5. Agent Orange says:

Shh, Iron or Boru might come after us and take our mithril scale armor along with the dual wield level 24 vorpal blades!

    *ahem*

Who introduced me to Beyond Exiled?

    Who formed our guild?

Who would lead us into combat with fearsome dark elves and legendary beasts of all stripe?

Who developed macros to lead us to all the good loot drops?

This slur, sir, shall not stand!
