You can smell it in the air
Yes it is coming to that time of year. The temps cool down, you get that nice fall breeze and you can almost smell the pigskin and charcoal awaiting another football season. I swear Friday was like that, the weather was perfect and I could almost hear Death Valley awakening from it’s slumber. Woooh shivers down my spine. I spent the weekend in Charleston and saw Funk play a gig. If you liked his first CD then you will definitely like the line up he has going for the second more funked up CD. Heard a new song, Lava Lamp, that was good as well.
On my trip to Charleston this past weekend I happened upon the Post and Courier weekend edition which was emblazoned with a lot of Orange. That’s Right, no Spurrier Shiat down there, they are educated people and understand that only rednecks like rooting for chickens labeled for phallic objects. Anyways, through a bunch of articles the best bit came from the ACC reviews in the side columns. This was a piece of the reviews
“Best Game day Atmosphereâ€
CLEMSON: Tailgating, Tiger Rag, and all that Orange in a picturesque campus setting. Not a bad way to spend a Saturday afternoon. Tallahassee (FSU) is a close second, and Blacksburg (VT) is vastly underrated. But the Tigers’ famous run down the hill makes Clemson a slight cut above.
“Worst Game Day Atmosphereâ€
DUKE: No need to worry about traffic or tickets if you’re going to Wallace Wade Library, er, Stadium.
I found that Duke bit very true and very funny. I also started getting goose bumps reading through the traditions of Clemson from Howards Rock to The Run Down the Hill. I am salivating for Clemson Football…..5 days left!

I went to the Duke game last year, and it was surprisingly a bitch to find anywhere to park. Of course, this was due in part to every car trying to park had Clemson stickers on them and we easily outnumbered the Dukies 4-1 in the stadium. I cant wait to kick their sorry asses this year.

I too was at the Duke game last year… it was a terrible loss, but it was friggin hillarious when they tried to tear their goal post down and they couldn’t do it because they only had 50 people in the stands!!! and Brad, yes, please send me the number… you don’t want to miss out on me at your tailgating experience!!!

That is a cruel cruel joke Funk. I know the Agent spent many years there and they were great, but don’t force him to reassume residence.
