If you are a sci-fi geek like myself and have enjoyed Stargate and Battlestar then might I interest you in a movie from a short lived sci-fi series Firefly: Serenity. The show originally ran on Fox (why not Sci Fi where the target audience is, we will never know) and ran one season, not even enough to really get word of mouth out. It is basically about some renegade gunslingers and a rag tag crew in space. The TV series was great (I caught it on torrents). They gunslingers are former soldiers in a renegade army who are now black market thieves. They run passengers for the cash between jobs and on one trip they pick up a doctor and his cry-lpackage as well as a priest (shepherd) and an undercover fed. The fed gets knocked off, the priest becomes the moral voice of the crew and the doctors package ends up being his abducted sister who is beyond genius and is one kick ass fighter. You really have to check out the one season that came out on the show. I will be checking out the movie and hopefully enough will see it to bring back the show (MAYBE!!). The show is classic Sci Fi-esque stuff with great action, story lines and one liners. CHECK IT OUT!!!
