So this week I received my belated birthday gift: a desk. When people started asking me what I wanted for the BDay, I stated that it would be nice to not sit on the floor when working (playing) on the computer. The wife went out and found a sweet desk with computer compartment, flip down center drawer for keyboard and mouse and very nice color and fixtures. I got everything in and set it all up and I am now sitting in a kitchen chair typing this entry. I will be asking for a nice chair for Christmas. The desk is Uber Sweet, but has one small problem: The computer compartment gets as hot as HELL!! There is a mesh vent in the compartment that could probably handle a simple low end computer heat generation but I am running a top of the line Grafx card, 2 big ass HD’s, and a 400W power source. For the mean time I will be looking for a small desk fan to put in the compartment to put some positive pressure in there. I wish I had an AC vent near the desk, I could pipe some cool air into it. Oh well, i got a sweet desk and now all I need to do is figure out how to convert thermal heat into cost savings!!
