Here I go again on my o-o-own.  Like that familiar song I am going through the painful 24 hour weekend at work.  What really makes these weekends suck is that:

1.  I have to change my sleep schedule as I usually work 2nd shift 2:30 - 11 and the weekend is 6AM - 6PM which means I really don’t get any sleep as my body screams “WTF are you doing in bed at 10 PM!!”.

2.  The people that work the lines on the weekend are like dogs in that they have the memory span of 5 days.  5 days is just long enough for them to forget how to properly run their lines on the 6th and 7th days.  Luckily the supervisors are whipping the lines into shape and performance is improving.

3.  I only get paid for 16 of the 24 hours.  That’s 4 hours of overtime and 4 hours of doubletime that I don’t get.  These 8 hours are compensated by a “comp day” which is a paid day off.  That’s great and all but that “paid day” is standard time, I  am missing out on a bunch o cash!

 

Anyway, this weekend, when not fighting fires, I will try to work on the theme and it’s colors.  I am not sure what to use where but it could get interesting as I am bound to screw up the scripts somewhere.  Leave some posts or post on your own blog to keep me entertained….PLEASE!!!
