I went and got Civilization IV, all I can say is: BAD IDEA. I should have learned my lesson with Sid Meier games back when Doug and I spent a whole day playing one of his previous games and didn’t even notice the time we spent on it. To say that the fourth installment of the Civilization game series lives up to expectations is an understatement. The wife has already put in some jabs on how much time I have spent on the game. The graphics are better and have great cut and battle scenes, and the amount of impact decisions for your civilization is even more daunting. If you are a former resident of Woodland Circle and enjoyed “Ceasarâ€, then run out and get Civilization IV, you won’t regret it. Everything else and everyone else in your life will however, but it’s worth it! You may just build the Taj Mahal!!

Sweet. Play the Revolution scenario. I just beat it, but it took me a while. Frickin British are tough when you are a colonial knat-fart…
btw, so when are you up to challenging me online…or are you scared…
Do that have a space version? So I can destroy Uranus?
Wow, I just realized how gay that sounds. Careful with the Uranus jokes. Man, that went the total wrong way. Whoops!
Andy, as I work nights and you work days we would have to line something up on the weekends. I am sure I can convince some others to join the fray for the heck of it and turn it into a good ole Warcraft GTG. I will be honing my tech development skills until then!
I’m looking forward to the new Age of Empires III. Age of Empires with the expansion was awsome…many many hours of my life were wasted away on that game.
So, this is just for the PC, right? I’m thinking of getting rid of my gamecube. I never play it, and It’s a shame to one sitting around. No, wait, they’re coming out with another Zelda. Scratch that.
Yeah these are all PC games.
Hey Funk…..LITHEN!….LITHEN FUNK!
Oh yeah keep the gamecube just for that.
I started a HUGE world, with 6 other civs. The Malinese started a fracas and took two of my cities last night. I got one back, and am massing at the other…
The most powerful currently are the french. And of course, the bastards wouldn’t help me, even though we share a border. Frog lickers…
I will say this though: Huge world is deceiving. When you start, your map makes it look so tiny, so much so that I restarted because I couldn’t believe it was right. But as you explore, the map shrinks. and shrinks…so much so that what once filled up the entire map view is reduced to about 1/20th of the total size. I see easily 6 months devoted to this one…
