The day after
The birthday went off pretty well. Woke up to my birthday present, a Clemson class ring. Very attractive ring with alot of history behind it. I was very excited to get it and wore it until I went to work that aftenoon as I had to go to work. The weight is a little awkward but I am sure that I will get used to it. Had a steak, steamed broccoli and long grain rice for lunch and headed to work. Work went pretty well until the last 10 minutes when I was moving a heavy piece of equipment and slammed my right middle finger between it and a workbench. Now I have a blood blister underneath my nail and it hurts like a beeotch. Oh well, one year older, not sure when I will be able to respond to an age question with “30″. My mom, of course, went into nostalgia about “you were such a cute baby and toddler…” etc… I think that the parents are taking it well though, having a 30 year old kid and all.

Did you get the stainless steel one? That’s what I’m getting if I lose mine.

No, classic yellow gold.

YOu didn’t get a ring before you graduated?

Agent is that cheap. I couldn’t talk him into it. I tried. He just wouldn’t come off the cash. Well, he’s got one now. Just think agent, what would you have gotten for your birthday if not a ring you should have already owned?
