FREEDOM!!!
No more turkey! The exit was a little surreal but the most interesting part was that the only upper management that said anything to me was my boss. Not my former boss, not my department manager, not a fellow Clemson grad plant manager, NO ONE. Just goes to show what the company is like. I didn’t play into their rules for the NY gig and they pretty much threw me out with the trash. Oh well, on to greener pastures.

When anyone left Southern Nuclear, they always sent a goodbye email to all of their friends saying they would miss them and they hated that they had to leave such great people and blah, blah, blah.
My goodbye email had no text. It simply had a sound bite.
“The prisoner has something to say. . . FREEDOM!” I could hear it playing through the office all day and people laughing. I actually liked working with those guys, but the job wasn’t for me, and I had this girl I wanted to marry.

I left the obligatory goodbye email which got good reviews. Past that nothing else.
