For once in my life…..
The superbowl was better than the commercials!! (am I going to get sued for typing superbowl?!?). Anyway, TIME has the rundown of the commercials. I personally thought that they all stunk but will give nods to the following:
Budweiser Clydesdale training. Gave a good fuzzy feeling to the dalmation and clydesdale. Also made me think back to the last Budweiser commercial that use a clydesdale pony in a superbowl ad. It involved the little guy emulating the big guys and in the end the little guy “pulling” the budweiser cart while the big guys pushed.
NFL commercial with the talent found in the grocery store. Just a good ad all around for the story line and how a kid made his way through it all.
FedEX pigeons were OK but I didn’t see the commercial until this morning.
Cars.com were funny enough I guess.
Charles Barkley Circle of Friends. Actually the only commercial that I was laughing at the entire time. very well played.
SUCKED!!
Careerbuilder……every single one of them, Vitamin Water, Sobe Water, bud light and Mencia trying to absolutely kill last years immigrant pitch, Planters (WTF!!! I got sick watching that one), sales genie (uhh I guess they spent so much money getting the SB spot that they forgot to pay people to create ads past cartoons of panda bears!) and of course as always….godaddy.com
And what was with the drug dealer that looked like Chris Cornell?

i totally agree.. though I hope you caught our good friend “Donkey Lips” from Salute your Shorts on the AMP commercial.

Completely agree. The Barkley one was funny, but not as good as years past have been with commercials. Thinking back what are your favorite SB commercials?
1. I love the ‘theft’ deterrent cellular phone one.
2. The bud frogs.
3. Was the Office Linebacker originally an SB commercial? It should have been.

As a side note, I want to see who/what this Donkey Lips character is, but I’m afraid to search for it at work. Seems like I could getting something really really nasty instead.
