Why does Viagra find it necessary to create an Elvis song knock off that just seems like such a great idea when the guys playing it in the commercial “jam” it out. These commercials are just ridiculous and drive me nuts. The most recent one, a country group, has the lead guy telling the rest of the group “hey guys, check this out” and he proceeds into a little jam and song which leads into the “viva viagra” song. The kicker is when he hits the viva viagra part, the rest of the group laughs in appreciation and nods in acceptance to this guys pure genious. I have to wonder about a room full of men who can all laugh at one guy in a knowing fashion when he mentions a male enhancement drug. Uhhh yeah………….
And on the female end of this argument is the Yaz birth control pill and the environment it is presented in. The first one had the girls in a bar discussing birth control and one who is supposedly a doctor confirming everything the other asked. And this was no “I hope that drunk unprotected sex I had in that one night stand doesn’t lead to anything” conversation. It was all out scientific and medical conversation……..in a bar. The other commercials that go with this fabulous drug that postpones a womans period for something like 3 months (that CAN’T be healthy!) take place in other random ass locations that you would never have conversations like that in. I call that the next one comes out in a rodeo or nascar race.
