A public alert system test.

Now how exactly does a satellite radio system have an alert system?!?! If it goes off without warning does that mean we have a meteorite heading our way? Or does it mean that our borders are under attack? That’s the only thing I can figure out as there is no way that XM knows exactly which alert system to play to each radio it is broadcasting to.
