For those wondering few

No baby Peanut yet.

Due date was last Saturday and the wife is peeved. Last night we played “ignore baby Peanut” to see if it would come out if we didn’t pay attention to it. It still resides in the belly today so that didn’t work. And for all of you who are about to hit the reply button with suggestions, don’t, we have tried EVERYTHING mentioned on the internet and word of mouth with no results (obviously). We have a stress test scheduled on Saturday and the odds in the office are that we will get induced. Who knows for sure, the only thing that is for sure is that we have a healthy baby who obviously likes its digs and doesn’t want to meet anyone! Add in the fact that the baby was projected to be 8.5 lbs two weeks ago and the size alone scares the begeezus out of the wife. Stay tuned for more updates as they come!

If it makes you feel any better, I was 12 days late.

That’s nasty. I’ve read The Internet, and there’s some messed up stuff on it.

    Like The-British-version-of-the-Frankie-Goes-To-Hollywood-”Relax”-video messed up.

And you’re letting your unborn child near that filth. Pervert.

Apparently being born 12 days late causes people to use words like “efficacy” before 8 in the morning/after 11PM.

Not that I’m complaining. I’ve used it at 6:45 before (and was roundly made fun of for my trouble). I love the English language — there’s always a perfect word (most likely only used by SAT prep classes and William F. Buckley before becoming an ex-parrot) that precisely describes what one is looking for. Too bad we get made fun of for using the right words.

    Well,

I’ll be praying for the delivery to go well. On a side note, Cyndi had a 4′ hispanic person deliver an 11 pound baby in medical school.

Yowzers! (Eat your heart out ‘efficacy.’)

God I hope Lauren doesn’t read that WIll! Poor thing, we’re all so excited and hope everything goes smoothly for y’all!
